NETWORKING AND MARKETING EVENTS
Business After Hours - Sponsors are given the opportunity to introduce their products and services to a large number of fellow members attending these networking events. These events are monthly from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
First Friday Business Briefing - Members meet the first Friday of each month at King College Dining Hall from 7:15 – 8:45a.m. This meeting provides members the ability to network with each other and benefit from referral and lead generation. New Members are introduced and may showcase their business information on a special designated “New Member Information” table. Sponsors are provided 20 minutes to promote their business to approximately 250 attendee’s. All members may display brochures on the member share table making their information available to hundreds!
Annual Awards Luncheon - Each January the Bristol Chamber of Commerce installs the new Chamber Board Members and officers and recognizes out going Board Members. In addition to lunch and entertainment, more than 400 members honor the contributions of the Ambassador of the Year, KBB Award of Merit, Leadership Award, and Volunteer of the Year Awards.
PUBLICATIONS FOR MARKETING AND ADVERTISTING
Bristol Membership Directory & Newcomers Guide - This full color annual buyers’ guide is distributed to Chamber members, visitors, new residents and business prospects. Members only are listed three times free (alphabetically, categorically and by representative), providing high visibility to potential customers. (Distribution: 3,000)
Chamber Website - Member Directory searchable by company name and business category; enhanced member listings; comprehensive information about the Chamber. Website links and banner ads are also available. (Yearly Hits: 1.3 million)
Quarterly Membership Update - This publication offers opportunity for advertisement to Chamber members and keeps membership informed of the events that take place at the Chamber. Feature stories, photographs, statistical data and a listing of new members are just a small portion of the information in this newsletter. (Distribution: 1,600)
Bristol Visitor Guide - This colorful publication includes information on dining, lodging, entertainment, and other services. The Visitor Guides are distributed annually to visitors through AAA offices, newcomer and relocation packets, local hotels, travel agencies, visitor requests, website fulfillment, travel agencies and state welcome centers. (Distribution: 100,000)
Member-to-Member E-mail Announcement - Members can make an email announcement via the Chamber’s weekly email update. (Distribution: 1,600)
Area Attraction Map, Group Tour/Meeting Planners Guide and Calendar of Events - These full color publications are distributed by the Chamber to promote members and the facilities and activities available in the Bristol area. (Distribution: 40,000)
MARKETING SERVICES
Member Sponsorships - High visibility and advertising value is offered to members who sponsor a Chamber event, such as a Business After Hours, First Friday Business Briefing, Great American Cleanup, South Holston Lake Cleanup, the Annual Awards Celebration, or the State Line Classic Softball Tournament. As an event sponsor, the company’s name is prominently displayed and promoted. Pre-event publicity and mailings broaden advertising exposure at no additional cost above the sponsorship fee.
Grand Openings & Ribbon Cuttings - These ceremonies increase the visibility of new or expanding businesses and are provided to Chamber members only. Pre-event and post-event publicity can be provided and invitations are sent to Chamber board members, ambassadors, city officials, and the media. Photos from these events are printed in various publications and are placed on the Chamber’s web page.
Membership Mailing Labels - Members can obtain a complete set of mailing labels consisting of approximately 800 businesses. Click here to purchase your mailing labels.
Business Referral Service - Each month hundreds of referrals of Chamber members are given to tourists, those interested in relocating to the Bristol area, the business community and the general public - all of which are potential customers. Only members are referred to these inquiries.
BUSINESS RESOURCES
Resource Center - Information resources are available at the Chamber. Examples include: community demographics; local phone directories; community calendar; a list of clubs and organizations; local and state maps; a list of major employers; a cross-reference city directory; statewide visitor information and a list of local, area and state government contacts.
Meeting Room Rental - Chamber members are offered a 50% discount on the rental of the Chamber meeting room.
Long Distance Telephone Service Discount - Every Chamber member is entitled to participate in the Sprint Affinity Connection, which allows them an additional 5% discount off the lowest available business rates currently given through Sprint.
Notary Public Service - This necessary service is offered to Chamber members for $15/ non-members $25.
Tax Deductibility - Payment of Membership dues is deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense.
Website Calendar - The Chamber maintains a comprehensive online calendar of all Chamber events. In addition to the Chamber’s calendar there is also a community calendar of special events and attractions.
Certificate of Origin: The Chamber will provide a Certificates of Origin to our members for overseas shipments.

ADVOCACY
Advocate for Business - The Chamber is the voice of the business community in local, county, and state issues. Representation of businesses includes problem solving and promoting economic development with large and powerful legislative and congressional delegations representing two states.
Chamber Coalition - Area Chambers meet monthly to build consensus on issues.
Legislative Updates hosted by Governmental Relations Committee.
