NASCAR ENTHUSIASTS

Let your group experience the excitement of one the fastest growing sporting phenomena in the nation!

Bristol is proud to be home of the world-renown and Bristol Motor Speedway, NASCAR’s racing fastest half-mile track and most highly rating sporting venue, and the Bristol Dragway, a $14 million state-of-the-art adjacent drag racing facility.

A tour of the Bristol Motor Speedway takes approximately an hour and a half and includes riding around the track, along the Dragway, ESPN coverage booths, official BMS souvenir store, and victory lane! Catering options in a luxury suite are also available.

During the winter months, the Bristol Motor Speedway complex is transformed into holiday winter land for groups for Speedway in Lights.

PERFORMING ARTS

Rich in history and culture, the Bristol, TN/VA region offers groups a superb sampling of performing and cultural arts.

The Paramount Center for the Arts is located in Bristol. Built in 1931 as an Art Deco movie house, the Paramount underwent a $4 million renovation in 1991.  It reopened as a performing arts center.  Presenting arts ranging from Broadway tours to a vast array of regional talent.

In nearby Abingdon, VA lies the Barter Theatre, the State Theatre of Virginia. Providing spectacular live entertainment throughout the year, the historic Barter Theatre was founded during the Depression by Robert Porterfield and is a can’t miss attraction to any group’s itinerary.

Today, Barter has a reputation as a theatre where many famous actors first performed.  Barter’s best known alumni include: Gregory Peck, Patricia Neal, Ernest Borgnine, Ned Beatty, Gary Collins, Kevin Spacey, John Spencer, and many more!

Rhythm & Roots Festival (Sept. 16-18, 2005)

Celebrate Bristol’s rich musical history at the 5th Annual

Rhythm & Roots Festival. Located in Bristol’s historic designated downtown area, over 100 musical acts, demonstrations, workshops, food vendors, historical seminars, and youth activities highlight the weekend event. Group rates are available.

Speedway In Lights at Bristol Motor Speedway   (Nov. 13, 2005 – Jan. 7, 2006)

Bristol Motor Speedway will host the region’s biggest holiday light tradition, Speedway In Lights. Open every night through the holiday season, over 1,500,000 holiday lights illuminate the track on a 4.5-mile drive-through tour.  Highlights include more than 100 displays, Ice Skating Rink (complete with skate rentals), Santa’s Village, crafts, and refreshments.  You can even roast your own marshmallow over an open fire and meet Santa!  In its 8th year, Bristol Motor Speedway’s Speedway In Lights Display is can’t-miss stop for your group’s next tour!
