On Saturday, June 8, 2019 brave people from around the Tri-Cities will be going Over the Edge. You read that right. They will be rappelling 10 stories down the iconic Bristol Motor Speedway Tower. Have they gone mad? Have they completely lost all sanity? NO! This unique and adrenaline-inducing event will, for the first time, provide a chance to safely rappel down the side of the 10-story Bristol elevator tower, and all proceeds will benefit the YWCA of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia to support area children and families. We are always looking for new ways to build awareness and generate funds for children in need in our region. Thrill seekers are in for a real treat during this one-of-a-kind experience. The Bristol tower is one of our area’s most recognizable landmarks in both the local and NASCAR communities and the perfect location for this fundraiser. Over the Edge is open to the first 76 brave individuals who raise $1,500 or more. I am committed to raise the funds in order to rappel down the tower. I challenge you to do the same! Would you consider participating or have a member from your company participate? The funds that we raise will go to help with amazing programs that the YWCA has in place such as affordable childcare, teen pregnancy, etc. So many families will be helped in our region.
